ITHACA LINKS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Ithaca is such a great place in the summer.  Want to plan an activity with your family or a small group of friends?  Below are some ideas and resources when planning your trip.

  • Visit Ithaca This is a great site with parks, trails, arts and culture, local breweries etc.
  • Ithaca Farmers Market If you have not been back to Ithaca in a while this is the place to be on a Saturday. It opens at 9am and if you are later than 9, expect a wait to park if you are taking a car. The Market is also open on Sunday at 10am and a little smaller.
  • Restaurants/Eating Lots of great places to go. Unfortunately no more Home Dairy, but check out some of the local flair either for bagels and coffee or for a great dinner. You will want to ask if they take reservations if you need dinner or expect a wait. Boatyard, Saigon Kitchen, Franco’s Pizza, Glenwood Pines, Ciao!, Moosewood, Simeon’s, and other restaurants on the Ithaca Commons.
  • If you are coming with your bike or taking a long run check out the Black Diamond Trail. It is an 8.5 miles stone dust path that heads from Cass Park to Taughannock. For more information on Ithaca trails take a peak at Out on the Trails.
